PUNCHING ABOVE ITS WEIGHT
What might be the smallest engine in the KTM 4-stroke range, the 2023 KTM 250 EXC-F packs a surprising punch. With its compact dimensions, minimal weight, and fantastic handling, the KTM 250 EXC-F has long been a favorite for motivated amateurs and ambitious pros alike. Thanks to its advanced fuel injection system, this powerplant also offers class-leading performance, low-down torque, and confidence-building power delivery.
Compact dimensions with class-leading power output, the KTM 250 EXC-F's fuel-injected DOHC engine is the most powerful and refined 250 cc on the market. Its efficient power delivery is available throughout the entire rev range and with its low weight of only 27.9 kg, this engine is the lightest and most competitive powerplant out there. With Euro 5 homologation, it's not only considerately green, but leaves the competition green with envy too.
The EXC-Fs are fitted with forged triple clamps with an offset of 22mm, ensuring a solid grip of the fork and precise handling. The handlebar is adjustable forwards and backwards over 4 positions, so the EXC-F will fit you like your favorite gloves.
Drawing inspiration from the RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING TEAM, the 2023 KTM EXC-F range features an orange-coasted frame and boasts a bold 90s inspired color scheme, using the tried and tested in-mold graphics application for greater friction and fade resistance, meaning your steed will look factory-fresh after even the toughest time spent on the trails.
Battery & Wiring Harness
All engines are fitted with the proven electric starter, which is a major benefit for any offroad activity. It is powered by a super lightweight 2 Ah lithium-ion starter battery, which provides safe, reliable starting. A reworked wiring harness and revised packaging has most of the electrical components carefully positioned into a common area below the seat, making them more accessible and reliable.
All KTM EXC models are equipped with adjustable, high-strength aluminum tapered handlebars made by NEKEN. These can be mounted in four different positions. Standard with ODI vulcanized grip on the right side and a comfortable ODI lock-on grip on the left, your only worry is hanging on, and letting rip.
The cast aluminum swingarm has been developed with state-of-the-art calculation and simulation software and constructed, in terms of design and wall thickness, for minimum weight with optimum stiffness and precisely defined flexibility.
The KTM 250 EXC-F engine is fitted with a compact DOHC cylinder head for optimal mass centralization while contributing to even better handling. The head configuration, with double overhead camshafts controlling the gas flow through the ports, promises outstanding, enduro-specific engine characteristics. The DLC coated finger followers, as well as the lightweight titanium valves they actuate (intake 32.5mm, exhaust 26.5mm), allow for higher engine speeds, a crucial factor in the 250's class-leading performance.
