STEP INTO THE BIG LEAGUES
The last step awaits. The KTM 85 SX 19/16 is ready to raise the speed for you. Developed on track and at an international level, the KTM 85 SX 19/16 boasts significantly enhanced handling, searing power delivery and proven READY TO RACE DNA through its components and pedigree. You spoke, we listened. We developed. Now continue the journey. Fast.

Adjustable Suspension
Don't worry about change. The KTM 85 SX's WP XACT suspension is adjustable upfront and rear. The WP XACT AER fork can be easily modified with the use of an air pump. This allows riders to tailor the KTM 85 SX to their specifications, weight, or track conditions. The WP XACT monoshock is fully changeable for preload, compression, and rebound.

Ignition
The KTM 85 SX has a CDI box from Hidria bringing lots of processing power and a fiery ignition curve. The benefits? A faster ignition process, smoother engine operation, and shorter heating time in colder temperatures.

Combustion Chamber
The combustion chamber was recently redesigned with a, smaller spark plug. This makes for more effective and efficient combustion, reducing the compression ratio generating more power and torque.

Engine
The KTM 85 SX holds the kind of firepower that makes it the reference in the start gate. Weighing 120 g less than the previous generation, the engine produces high performance and optimized integration with the chassis. This means punch in the low and mid-RPM range, torque, and reliability.

Factory Performance Kit
Boost the performance of your KTM 85 SX by installing the 105 Factory Kit, ideal for tackling larger track layouts. This kit includes enhanced engine components, a cylinder head, a combustion chamber insert, a CDI control unit, and a spark plug.

Exhaust
Giving this junior rocket its signature 'Braaap!" is a primed exhaust system thanks to an overhauled manufacturing process - just like on the full-size 2-stroke KTM SX range. Seams between individual sheets have been removed so the exhaust flow is optimized, resulting in substantial improvements when it comes to thermodynamics. Simply put - this pipe performs.

Shifting Mechanism
Clicking into gear is even smoother with a recently updated shift drum. Thanks to the coating finish, shifting up and down the 'box is smoother, more reliable, and rock-solid even after many hours of use.

Ergonomics
A carefully scaled-down design mimics the full-sized KTM SX range, so this little weapon has unparalleled aesthetic appeal. What's more, it also provides young riders with an exceptional riding experience and sensation, getting them ready to step up when the time comes.

Throttle cable
Goodbye to kinks, hello to increased durability. We've applied an additional stabilizer cap to the throttle assembly to hike the quality. Now, just hold it open wider and for longer.

Tank
The tank design fits the frame concept and bodywork, providing the ideal support for young knees to grip, and 5.4 liters of screaming fury to rip.

Triple clamps, Bars & Pegs
The triple clamps now have an improved upper fixing mechanism that is more resistant to dirt and water, preserving the lifespan of the steering head bearings. The necessary wrench size has also been reduced to a handy 17mm. The Tapered black Neken-branded handlebars are made of high-quality aluminum alloy ensuring top stability, vibration damping, and safety, while the 'no-dirt' designed footrests offer a bigger surface area to step on while being less susceptible to hooking on deep ruts, and take-offs when scrubbing. The result? Better control, more leverage and more to hold onto when charging down the holeshot. We're also aware that smaller riders might be making their first laps after graduating from the KTM 65 SX so we've provided two length adjustment options for the rear brake lever.

Frame
Premium handling and feel comes through a high-strength chromium molybdenum steel frame design, taken from the full-sized KTM SX range. Together with forged connecting parts, carefully calculated parameters of longitudinal flex and torsional rigidity, and incorporated sheet metal parts allow for tailor-made stiffness. The frame layout features a typical MX design without any cross tube behind the steering head. The rear shock mount is separate from the main upper frame tube like our full-size models, with frame protectors as standard.

Subframe
We still bank on our 1-piece polyamide glass-fiber-reinforced aluminum subframe. Not only does the material reduce the weight of the whole construction, but it also features specifically engineered rigidity, delivering outstanding handling and rider feedback. It's also the perfect spot for integrated electronics, seat support, and hour meter mounting position.

WP XACT Fork
The KTM 85 SX is fitted with a state-of-the-art WP XACT AER fork. These ultra-lightweight, 43 mm USD forks feature exceptional damping and comfort, allowing the rider to push the limit confidently.

WP XACT SHOCK
Mirroring the latest technology found in the full-size motocross range, the KTM 85 SX features a fully adjustable WP XACT monoshock. This is perfectly matched to the front forks, bringing ideal balance and damping characteristics, along with improved traction, a more planted feel, and control at speed.

Wheels and Tires
Keeping the show on the dirt are black Excel-branded rims and CNC machined hubs fitted with MAXXIS MAXXCROSS MX-ST tires. Not only does this combination deliver outstanding performance on a variety of terrain, but the pattern design and rubber compounds deliver exceptional straight-line stability and excellent traction. As always, the KTM 85 SX is available for order with two rims sizes -19/16 and 17/14.

Radiators
The KTM 85 SX features state-of-the-art radiators produced by Pankl, inspired by the full-size SX range. These feature the same design albeit shortened to fit the 85cc needs, size and works to ensure the engine is running at optimal temperatures when being ripped around the track, lap after lap.

Airbox and Filter
The airbox concept has been designed with precisely positioned inlet ducts to prevent air deformation, ensuring maximum airflow and filter protection. The Twin Air filter can be easily accessed without tools by removing the left side panel.
